TWX series end suction horizontal pump is mainly composed of pump body, impeller, pump shaft, bearing, sealing device and motor. The pump body is usually made of cast iron or cast steel, with good wear resistance and corrosion resistance, and can withstand certain pressure and medium erosion. The impeller is the core component of the pump, generally made of bronze or stainless steel, connected to the pump shaft through a key, and rotates at high speed under the drive of the motor to make the liquid gain energy. The pump shaft is usually made of high-quality carbon steel or stainless steel, used to support the impeller and transmit torque. The bearing is used to support the pump shaft to ensure its smooth rotation. Rolling bearings are usually used, with high precision and reliability. The sealing device is used to prevent liquid leakage. The common forms are mechanical seals and packing seals. The motor provides power for the pump and is connected to the pump shaft through a coupling. According to different use requirements, motors of different power and voltage levels can be selected.
Product Configuration
- The TWX pipeline circulation End Suction Horizontal Pump is a horizontal single-stage single-suction (axial suction) centrifugal pump. The pump inlet and outlet are flange-connected to the pipeline, and are equipped with 380V/50Hz/YE3 or YE4 and YE5 series B3 standard motors and mechanical seals.
- The design temperature of the entire TWX series of products is 150°C. The design pressure of the pump with a nominal rated head ≤80m is 16bar, and the inlet and outlet flanges and pressure-bearing boundary wall thickness are designed according to 16bar. The design pressure of the pump with a nominal rated head of 125m is 25bar, the inlet flange is determined to be designed according to PN16, and the outlet flange and wall thickness are designed according to PN25.
- The End Suction Horizontal Pump body and impeller of TWX are basically the same as TPW, and the outlet diameter is DN32~DN350. Among them, DN150 adds a gear with a 2-pole motor, rated head 80m and 125m, and impeller nominal 250mm and 315mm specifications.
- The design speed of TWX products is 2960/1480/985rpm.
- The pump body and impeller blanks of TWX and TPW are common. TWX has an independent pump cover and bearing suspension. The pump body, pump cover and fasteners form the pressure-bearing boundary of the pump. The axial force and radial force generated by the pump rotor during operation are borne by the bearings in the suspension components. The pump and motor are connected and fixed on the common base through a standard diaphragm coupling. There is no need to move the pipeline and motor when disassembling the pump. For pump groups with motors below ≤7.5kW, a bent base is used, which is fixed on the concrete foundation by expansion bolts or fixed on the embedded metal plate by steel bolts; for pump groups with motors ≥11kW, a steel welded structure base is used, and the base is fixed on the foundation by anchor bolts with secondary grouting.
- The motors installed on TWX End Suction Horizontal Pump are all closed, air-cooled, three-phase asynchronous squirrel cage standard motors. Their main technical requirements meet the relevant GB or IEC standards, and the machine size is 80M1~355L. YE3 standard, YE4/YE5 optional, B3 type

how it works?
When the motor is started, it drives the pump shaft and the impeller to rotate together. The impeller generates centrifugal force during rotation, forming a low-pressure area at the center of the impeller. The liquid is sucked into the center of the impeller under the action of the external atmospheric pressure or system pressure. Then, under the action of centrifugal force, the liquid flows along the impeller blades to the outer edge of the impeller, obtains kinetic energy and pressure energy, and is discharged from the pump outlet. As the liquid is continuously discharged, a continuous low pressure is formed at the pump inlet, so that the liquid can be continuously sucked into the pump, realizing the continuous circulation and transportation of the liquid.
Features
- The overall structure of the pump is advanced and reasonable. The pump and the motor are installed on a common base through an extended diaphragm coupling, which is easy to disassemble and assemble.
- Standard high-efficiency YE3 (level 3 energy efficiency) three-phase asynchronous motor or optional ultra-high-efficiency YE4 (level 2 energy efficiency) or YE5 (level 1 energy efficiency) standard motor according to customer requirements.
- More efficient pump flow parts hydraulic optimization design, reduce energy consumption, recommended operating range 0.7Qn~1.2Qn wider than GB/T13007 B line, and specifically give the head, shaft power, and cavitation margin indicators of five flow points of 0.7Qn, 0.85Qn, 1.0Qn, 1.1Qn and 1.2Qn.
- Appropriate pump inlet diameter design maintains a reasonable inlet flow rate, reduces losses, ensures high efficiency and takes into account high cavitation resistance.
- It can be applied to different pipeline system diameters and pressure level configurations on site.
- The size of the impeller outer diameter after cutting is determined according to the shaft power at the 1.2Qn flow point being sufficiently close to the rated output power of the motor so that the motor can operate in the high-efficiency zone, which is safe and reliable.
- The impeller is made of metal molds and precision castings made by CNC machining centers. The design flow channel center has a high degree of coincidence with the machining reference center, and better hydraulic and mechanical balance makes the pump run more smoothly.
- The pump housing is equipped with a replaceable sealing ring to ensure that the pump always maintains an efficient state.
- Mechanical seals suitable for different fluid media can be configured.
- Two different structural base designs are designed for easy inspection and maintenance.
- The End Suction Horizontal Pump body and pump cover are three-dimensionally designed and then CNC machined. The dimensional deviation of the flow-through part of the mold is controlled within 0.2mm. The coated sand casting process and machine modeling are adopted. The dimensional accuracy of the casting can reach CT7 level, and the surface roughness of the casting is below 12.5μm. The casting is clamped in Tianquan's imported double-table machining center to complete the entire part processing in one clamping. The processing accuracy is at the micron level, ensuring the dimensional tolerance and form and position tolerance of all processed parts. After processing, the casting is protected and then electrophoretically treated to improve corrosion resistance. The pump body of DN250 and above is Tianquan blue or black spray paint.
Conditions of Use
- The full operating temperature range of the TWX pump is -25℃~+150℃. For 16bar pumps, the medium temperature of the standard BTSE unbalanced rubber bellows seal is 0℃~+120℃.
- If the pumping medium temperature is -25℃~0℃ or -25℃~120℃, it is recommended to select the LSSE seal, and the friction pair is changed from C/SiC to SiC/SiC;
- If the medium temperature is +120℃~+150℃, please specify in the order when ordering, and the STSE balanced seal is required.
- For 25bar pumps, the medium temperature of the standard STSE balanced seal is 0℃~+150℃.
- If the pumping medium temperature is -25℃~0℃ or -25℃~120℃, it is recommended to select the SSSE seal, and the friction pair is SiC/SiC.
- If the pumping medium temperature is +120℃~+150℃, it is recommended to select the STSD seal.

- Firefighting system: used for firefighting water circulation to improve emergency water supply capacity.
If the density or kinematic viscosity of the pumped medium is higher than that of water, it will cause:
- Significant pressure drop
- Degradation of hydraulic performance
- Increased energy consumption
In the above cases, a higher power motor should be used.
If the medium contains mineral oil or chemicals and other liquids other than water, a suitable Q-ring should be selected.

Installation and Maintenance
- Installation location: It should be installed on a solid foundation, ensure horizontal placement and reduce vibration.
- Pipeline connection: The inlet and outlet pipe diameters should match to avoid pipeline stress affecting the pump body.
- Regular inspection: Check the bearing lubrication, sealing condition and motor operation status to ensure long-term stable operation.
