- Oil-water separation principle
The Grease Water Separator is a set of oil-water treatment equipment specially used to collect waste grease discharged from the kitchen sink. The oily sewage passes through the inlet oil-water separation box of the oil-water separator. In the oil-water separation box, due to the different specific gravity of oil and water, the grease floats above the oil-water separation area, and the sewage standing in the lower layer of the oil-water separation area flows out of the oil-water separator through the overflow pipe outlet.
- Automatic oil drainage
An oil scraper is set above the oil-water separation area (Mslr OS 025 is a wheel-type oil scraper, RealGS 025Plus is a belt-type oil scraper). The scraper wheel (belt) is made of oleophilic and hydrophobic materials. Grease can adhere to the scraper wheel (belt) and rely on the scraping of the PTFE scraper to make the grease flow into the grease collection bucket. The grease collection bucket is equipped with a non-contact liquid level switch. When the oil tank reaches the set oil level, the oil scraper stops running to prevent grease from overflowing after the tank is filled. It also has an alarm function to remind users to deal with the grease and replace the tank.
- Heater
A heater is installed in the separation box of the grease separator to prevent the grease from solidifying. The heater has constant temperature and energy-saving settings. The heater has its own temperature sensor. The constant temperature setting heater keeps the water temperature of the grease separation box at the set temperature. The energy-saving setting is that the heater works before the oil scraper runs, and the solidified grease is melted to facilitate the operation of the oil scraper.
(When using for the first time, you must fill it with clean water before turning on the power!
When the heater is running manually, make sure the oil-water separation box is full of water!)
- Cleaning and sludge removal and automatic replenishment of clean water
Mslr OS has automatic sludge removal function.
Mslr OS 025Plus has cleaning and sludge removal functions. It adopts a cyclone sewage pump with a passing capacity of 20mm. Through a special bottom tilt design, the bottom of the sewage pump is placed at the lowest part of the water tank using the oil-water separation box. The sludge is automatically deposited at the bottom of the sewage part for easy discharge. The sewage pump has a backwashing function. When the sewage pump is running, it will extract a part of the water to flush the oil-water separation box to keep the inside of the oil-water separation box clean. After the sludge is discharged, clean water is automatically replenished to prevent the sewage from fermenting in the water tank to produce bacteria and odor when it is not in operation for a long time, which is harmful to the human body.
Mslr OS 025Plus automatically calculates the amount of sludge water, the amount of treated water, and the amount of water to replenish water through the pressure sensor level gauge of the outlet pipe. It can automatically discharge sludge without discharging oil according to the calculated amount of sludge water, and can adapt the sludge discharge time according to the amount of treated water. Even if the water volume is large for a short time or it is not used for a long time, it can ensure the cleanliness of the inside of the grease water separator.
Mslr OS025 uses electric ball valve to automatically discharge sewage, and controls the drainage volume through the float switch to achieve the effect of discharging mud without discharging oil. It automatically replenishes clean water after each mud discharge to prevent the sewage from fermenting in the water tank to produce bacteria and odor when it is not in operation for a long time, which is harmful to the human body.
Mslr OS 025/Mslr OS 025Plus recommends manual cleaning of the float/pressure sensor every 30-60 days to prevent the level meter from failing.

Products applicatiion

This compact grease water separator is designed to be connected directly to the sink. The sink drain is inserted into the water inlet pipe seal through a hose with an outer diameter of 32. The water inlet hose must have a water trap to prevent odor.
This machine is designed only for grease separation equipment for families or small staff restaurants. The water processing volume is 0.25L/S, which is suitable for families or small staff restaurants with less than 10 diners.
Transportation and storage
- If it is kept dry, it can be stored at a minimum temperature of -10 degrees and cannot freeze.
- The oil-water separator should be stored strictly with the packaging box marked upward during transportation and loading and unloading.
- For long-term storage, it must be protected from moisture and heat.
- After long-term storage, the grease water separator should be fully inspected before being put into use.
Circuit, installation and debugging
Circuit connection
- Installation and repair work must be done by qualified or authorized electricians!
- Before installation, repair or any other work, disconnect the main power supply line to ensure that there is no live work.
- The oil-water separation equipment is automatically controlled, so there is a risk of sudden restart;
- The socket must be connected to a grounding protection facility!
- Install a socket with leakage protection (220V power supply) according to local regulations.
Installation conditions
The grease water separator should be installed near the wastewater source, for example, under the kitchen sink.
The sink must be equipped with a filter with a pore size of no more than 10mm to prevent clogging of the sewage equipment (Mslr OS 025Plus sewage pump/Mslr OS 025 sewage valve).
Installation requirements
- Before installation, the height of the existing drain pipe (water inlet pipe of the oil-water separator) must be confirmed.
- The water inlet pipe uses a 32mm hose to insert into the water inlet deodorizing seal ring.
- The drain pipe of the oil-water separator is a 50mm pipe for Mslr OS 025Plus and a 40mm pipe for Mslr OS 025Plus, with an installation slope of 1:50.
- The grease water separator must be installed horizontally.
- The outlet pipe is connected by a rubber hose or a hard pipe, and a reducer is used when necessary.
- After the equipment is installed, the oil-water separator must be filled with water before operation. It is forbidden to power on if it is not filled with water.
- The clean water valve can be installed without affecting the use. It is recommended to install it in places where conditions permit to prevent odor.
- Unscrew the sealing plug of the clean water outlet on the right corner of the grease separation box.
- Wrap the clean water valve with raw tape and screw it into the clean water outlet (note that the filter port is facing outward)
- Remove the sealing cap on the male end of the clean water valve line, put on the female end and tighten it.
- Install the four-point clean water spring hose to the water intake point
Debugging
- Before debugging, please fill the oil-water separator with water.
- Check the sealing of the entire equipment. Check method: fill the oil-water separator with water until water comes out of the outlet.
- Check whether the electrical connection complies with relevant regulations;
- Manually operate each device to check whether the device is operating normally. If the device is operating normally, adjust this device to automatic.
